DESIGN TEAM CREATIONS

Good Morning

Let me introduce myself, My name is Maureen Wood and live just south of Brisbane Queensland, half way between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, I am married, with three children, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Lots of photos to scrap, lots of cards to make as well with this brood.

I started  occasionally scrapping about 10 years ago , My first album was for my sister in laws 45th Wedding Anniversary. My style has changed a lot since then, I was a very simple scrapper,  just a few embellishments but have evolve to lots of layering and a little bit of mixed media, which i have just started to delve into. I love to make cards from the left over scraps from my completed layouts.
Card making was quick whilst i was working and received lots of orders this  gave me the motivation to continue my love of paper craft when i retired.

When i retired  in March last year, i became a more avid scrapper and card maker entering many challenges each month and winning many as well.
Although I cannot sit for long periods due to a back problem nor at the moment scrap or card make for very long, due to recent surgery on my eye to hopefully to length the period of time before my sight disappears completely. ( I have problem focusing).

Where do I get my Inspiration  you may ask to create my layouts / Cards - I use page maps, sketches, Pinterest and  Kaisercraft magazines, i also buy a monthly kit whose magazines has lots of ideas . I like to match papers to photos. Lots of the challenges use sketch's which you can use as is, and or turn it upside down or place it sideways as the mood takes you as long as it has the elements of the sketch on your page

Today i have chosen a sketch which i use all the time , sometimes twisting it around, Often use this one on colour challenges as you can add a little or a lot and change the fish tail pieces to a stencil with paint or ink  or move it horizontal to vertical or what ever takes my fancy. A very versatile sketch.
I have added some instructions on how i have used the sketch to create the below layout, with a product list of  papers and items used
