Perfect Timing!

This is my first layout for the year I am blogging for you. I love gears and anything grunge and started this piece this morning and found the perfect theme paper to go with them, I had flowers in place instead of the gears, then just a few moments ago I received some lovely happy mail that had a bunch of gears in them. It was perfect timing and had added to the piece and removed the flowers.

A while back I ordered this online, I did not think it was coming but yay it came, love this die, cannot wait to use it.

Hope you like it, thanks for following, I used acrylic paint and a paint dabber for the paint effect on the gears.

DESIGN TEAM INSPIRATION

Now for some October inspiration from the Happy Craft Design Team, this month we have been working on a particular theme and we chose
TEXTURE
what is TEXTURE? How do we see it? and this is what we came up with:

It was hard trying to find a beginners site explaining these crafty topics, so I resorted to you tube and found a video that may help you with texture in Card Making and guess you can use in layouts too and anything else your heart may desire, but hopefully it shares some answers for you.

For Maureens interpretation on texture and more information on her layout please visit her blog (it will be up shortly)

MEGAN FLYNN

The best way I can share and try and understand texture and all things craft is watching youtube videos and thought I'd share this one with you all.
YOUTUBE
How to create texture cards for card making

This is my first Junk Journal Page, I've now watched hundreds of youtube videos on them and looking to get better and better, but its a start.

Just Add More - Updates

As much as I can I will share you successful Jams , they are very inspiring and it's great to see members coming together and sharing craft supplies. I sent these two envelopes and started this jam in our facebook group it's on it's way home.

These Jams have traveled from Western Australia, to Victoria to Queensland, 3 Australian States

Now on their way home

All 3 members involved in the Jam will now each receive a fun filled envelope filled with craft pre made dies, stickers, ribbons, what ever one has put in them.

To start a jam, members make the request themselves so they know and can follow the progress where the Jam is coming from and it makes it a little more personal and an opportunity to communicate with other members and make friends, there is no pressure, and anyone who wants to join them can, and they are aware from the start of the Jam happening. It makes life so much easier we also have developed a little strip tag members can download and print from the group that share its happy mail from the community to put in their envelopes so when received we know where it has come from, as many are part of 100s groups, we always now remind people to make sure they share it's from the Happy Craft Challenge community in their parcels. It's very exciting, come join us <3

"Member- so, I have now receive the three envelopes, being the third person, I add 3 or more items to them, keep one myself, post one to Maureen Wood and one to yourself Megan Flynn? I love this."

Members post photos each place it travels for updates
